Dr. Joshua Erickson
Orthodontist & Pediatric Dentist, DDS MSD
His distinctive training gives him the ability to achieve the ultimate goal of creating healthy, beautiful, and confident smiles for your child, all in one specialized location. Designed with your children in mind, our cozy and fun environment combined with caring staff makes our office feel like your child’s dental home.

- Continuing education is paramount as he provides comprehensive care in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Dr. Josh maintains active membership in all pertinent local and national professional organizations relating to his specialties.
Dr. Josh is married to his wonderful wife, Teresa, and has three daughters. He enjoys taking advantage of all the activities Colorado has to offer, including, swimming, tennis, mountain biking, and adventure racing. He is also an avid BYU, Broncos, and Nuggets fan.

Dr. Luke Carubia
Pediatric Dentist, DDS, MS, MBA
Dr. Luke was born and raised in Monument, CO. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2015. He then completed a residency specializing in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters of Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from LSU.
Dr. Luke is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and Colorado Dental Association. He maintains a certification in basic, pediatric and adult advanced life support.
Dr. Luke’s passion for helping children stemmed from his own experience of having extensive dental treatment at a very young age. He finds great reward in helping children and their parents navigate through their early dental care and education.
When Dr. Luke is not practicing dentistry, he loves spending time with his wife Melissa and Goldendoodle Charlie. They recently welcomed a baby girl named Madelyn, who has quickly stolen their heart. His hobbies include snowboarding, camping, trail riding, hiking, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He looks forward to giving back to the community that has given him so much!
Dr. Clark (Cubby) Taylor
Orthodontist & Pediatric Dentist, DDS MS
Dr. Cubby is originally from Utah and earned both his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery from UCLA. He then embarked on an extensive six-year specialized journey, completing two residencies and a fellowship after dental school.
He completed his pediatric dental residency at Yale University in Connecticut, followed by an orthodontic residency at Columbia University in New York. He then finalized his formal education with an advanced fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at the University of Michigan. Throughout his training, Dr. Cubby received multiple awards for his academic excellence and clinical skills.
Dr. Cubby is passionate about pediatric growth, development, and dental care. He is dedicated to making every child feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. With dual training in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, he creates beautiful, healthy smiles for both children and adults.
Outside the office, Dr. Cubby enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters—running, hiking, or skiing. They are thrilled to call Colorado Springs their new home.
Dr. Anila Poravanthattil
Pediatric Dentist, DDS
Dr. Anila grew up in the coastal town of Mombasa, Kenya. She got a chance to connect with her ancestral roots in India when she attended Dental School there. Marriage eventually brought her to American shores where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Over the course of her training and growth as a dental professional, she sensed a growing penchant to work with children which solidified her desire to spend her life helping children. This eventually led her to complete her pediatric specialty training at the Children’s Hospital, Colorado.
She is excited to make Colorado her home and serve the community here and is a passionate advocate for every child. Dr. Anila is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metro Denver Dental Society, and Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Connecting with families and building relationships with them is part of what I love about pediatric dentistry! It gives me a special sense of joy and purpose in helping children gain their self-esteem and confidence through their smiles while getting to know each child as a person and seeing them grow and mature in their own unique ways! I love what I do and I’m humbled to be entrusted with your child’s smile.
Dr. Elizabeth Shick
Pediatric Dentist, DDS, MPH
Elizabeth Shick, DDS, MPH (Dr. Liz) is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist originally from North Carolina. She earned her DDS degree, Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Liz relocated to Denver in 2009 and since then has been working in private practice and teaching part-time at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Liz feels fortunate that she can work with families and children to improve their health, and she always strives to make dental appointments a positive experience. Dr. Liz is fluent in Spanish and has two college aged children. If your child sees Dr. Liz in our office, you can be sure she will provide excellent care.
Dr. Ross Schwartz
Orthodontist, DDS, MSD
Dr. Ross Schwartz was born and grew up in South Florida. He spent 8 years in Gainesville, Florida attending the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2013. Dr. Ross then began practice as a general dentist for 4 years before going back to residency to pursue his passion for orthodontics. He attended the University of Colorado and earned a certificate of orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2020. He was awarded the Rocky Mountain Orthodontics scholarship recognizing the resident of the year at graduation. After spending the 2.5 years of residency in amazing Colorado, he decided this was his forever home.
Dr. Ross is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He also maintains memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He firmly believes that orthodontics is the perfect combination of arts, science, and interaction with the local community which makes it a perfect fit for him. He loves helping to provide his patients with confident and beautiful smiles.
When Dr. Ross is not busy making smiles he is spending time with his soulmate and wife Jess, his fraternal twin boys Cal and Everett, and his newborn daughter Daphne. He enjoys running and hiking and can always be found around the neighborhood on bikes and walking his blue heeler rescue Maisie!
Dr. Amanda Tompkins
Orthodontist, DDS MS
Dr. Amanda was born and raised in Fountain, Colorado. After graduating from Fountain-Fort Carson High School, she attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas for her bachelor’s degree, majoring in both Spanish and Biology. She then returned to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017. During dental school she met and married one of her classmates, Dr. Adam Vega. Ironically enough, she and Adam lived only about a mile apart from each other while they were growing up. Timing really is everything!
Although Dr. Amanda loved practicing as a general dentist, she knew her passion was in orthodontics, and she worked diligently to be accepted into orthodontics residency at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ in 2020. She graduated in 2022, and she and her husband are so excited to be back in Colorado Springs!
Dr. Amanda and her husband welcomed a son, Archer, in the fall of 2023, and he really is the apple of their eyes! Dr. Amanda also loves dogs, and she has a chiweenie named Finn and a silver lab named Elsa. Like any native Coloradan, Dr. Amanda loves the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Amanda believes that orthodontics is much more than just straightening teeth. Improving someone’s smile can truly be life-changing, and she takes great pride in building relationships with each of her patients and their families in order to provide them with the best possible care. She works hard to ensure that all of her patients achieve the smile they have always wanted and deserve!
